Nor-Tech Unveils Open-Bow ‘Show-Stopper’ 460 Flyer In Fort Lauderdale

Since Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats released the first 460 Flyer sportboat a little more than a year ago, the Fort Myers, Fla.-headquartered company has taken five orders for the jaw-dropping model. The builder has completed three 460s to date, and the fourth one was unveiled this morning at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, which opened today and runs through Sunday in the South Florida city.

On display this week at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the latest Nor-Tech 460 Flyer was built with an open bow.

Nestled in Nor-Tech’s in-water display, the 46-footer is the first to be built with an open bow and a small mid-cabin, which expands its day-boat versatility and appeal.

“It has been a true show-stopper since we moved in last week,” said Geoff Tomlinson, Nor-Tech’s dealer manager. “The custom craftsmanship is second to none. We are very fortunate to have such incredible talent so we can offer unique boats like this one.”

Like the previous three 460 Flyers built, the model on display in Fort Lauderdale this week is powered by four Mercury Racing 450R outboard engines. Unlike that of the other three boats, its hardtop is not retractable.
