Sneak Peek: The Firm Racing Debuting Fresh Look In St. Pete

Since purchasing the former Stock V-class Phase 05 raceboat from current Super Stock-class racer Albert Penta and renaming it The Firm Racing, Key Largo ,Fla.-based driver/owner Peter Riveiro and throttleman Richard Garcia have been getting in sync running together and practicing in the 30-footer. Off the water, the canopied V-bottom has been decked out in new graphics.

Offshore racing fans will get their first look at the freshly dressed raceboat this weekend at the St. Petersburg Grand Prix in Southwest Florida.

Recently dressed by Unlimited Wraps, The Firm Racing team’s Stock-V raceboat will stand out on the racecourse.

The job was handled by Unlimited Wraps of Doral, Fla. The company also wrapped the team’s support trailer.

“We’re excited to debut our full wrap,” Riveiro wrote in a recent post on his Facebook page. “Unlimited Wraps absolutely killed it with the design. Special thanks to our title sponsor MSP Recovery—they put the very best to work and they hit it out of the park with this design.”

Riveiro explained that he and Garcia will take a measured approach to Sunday’s contest. They’ll be competing against the currently registered LSB/Hurricane of Awesomeness and NMB RV Resort teams, as well as any other Stock V teams that register between now and Sunday.

“Our goal is to learn the boat and be competitive,” he said. “The boat has been performing better than we thought. There’s a propeller shortage right now, but we were able to get one”

The Firm Racing team will host a meet-and-greet at 3 p.m. tomorrow for their fellow offshore racers at its location in the St. Pete Grand Prix dry pits.
