West Michigan Offshore Expanding Showcase For Muskegon Powerboat Weekend

Kicked off in 2014 by West Michigan Offshore, Muskegon Powerboat Weekend—set for June 18-20 this year—has traditionally included a powerboat/marine products display alongside the concurrent Taste Of Muskegon food festival. For the upcoming eighth annual event, the nonprofit charitable fundraising club is expanding its showcase footprint by relocating it to the LST393 Historic Ship exhibit grounds.

“We could only show 13 boats there (at the original space) and wanted to find a spot where all could be involved,” said Roger Zuidema, the president of West Michigan Offshore. “The LST393 Historic Ship grounds will allow us to expand the number of boats and products that will be displayed.”

“The M&K Trucking Centers Muskegon Powerboat Weekend Poker Run Village tents also will be set up on the grounds for all to enjoy,” he added.

The display opens Friday, June 18, at 4 p.m. Setup for the showcase begins at 2:30 p.m. All West Michigan Offshore members and sponsors are invited to display. Exhibitors can register by clicking here.

“Whether you have a brand-new boat, an upgraded/reclaimed project—or anything in between—you’re invited to show your boat,” Zuidema wrote in an email to West Michigan Offshore members. “Also invited are the products that support the fun. We hope you will join us as we support some great community organizations and show and view some unbelievable rides.”
