Wozencraft Wrapping Up 2021 Poker-Run Tour With FPC Key West Finale

A true believer in first-person marketing, Devin Wozencraft has run his 30-foot Skater Powerboats catamaran in nine poker runs around the country this year—and just one stop remains on his annual event-tour. On Wednesday, November 10, the Southern California-based high-performance marine insurance man will run his Mercury Racing 300R outboard engine-powered cat from North Miami to Gilbert’s Resort and Tiki Bar in Key Largo, Fla., the primary lunch stop for the Florida Powerboat Club Key West Poker Run.

Wozencraft and his crew will hang out with the Wednesday lunch group but stay the night at Gilbert’s and be ready to meet and greet Thursday’s wave of Florida Powerboat Club stopping for lunch on the way to the city at the end of the road. (Wozencraft Insurance Agency is one of the club’s Key West Poker Run sponsors and also is a sponsor of the Thursday night Speed On The Water Key West Bash at the Sandbar Sports Grill.)

“We’re calling it the ‘Wozencraft Insurance Meet and Greet,'” he said, then chuckled. “It’s going to be really cool—and it will be my last run of the year. After lunch on Thursday, we’ll head down with the poker-run group and enjoy Key West for the rest of the week.”

Following the Key West event, Wozencraft will haul his 30-footer to a storage facility in Cape Coral, Fla. He’ll leave the boat there for the rest of year—and into early 2022—as he’s planning to campaign it in the Joey Gratton Memorial New Year’s Day Fun Run and the Fort Myers Offshore New Year’s Run the following weekend.

But that’s next year. In the meantime, Wozencraft is excited for the final Florida Powerboat Club event of 2021 and spending quality time at one of the club’s longest-standing and most popular lunch stops.

“Gilbert’s is always a fan-favorite with all the boats from the Florida Powerboat Club there for the run,” he added. “It’s going to be nice to spend a couple of days there with so many of our friends.”

Though Wozencraft will take a break after the Key West happening, another slew of poker runs in the cards for him next year.
