Sneak Peek: New Fountain 32NX Center Console Debuting In Fort Lauderdale Show

Visitors to the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, especially fans of performance-oriented center consoles, will find something new to ogle in the Fountain Powerboats display when the annual South Florida event opens next Wednesday. The Washington, N.C., company has added a new 32-footer to its NX center console series.

The smallest model in Fountain’s NX center-console line, this 32-footer will debut next week at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

Equipped with a pair of 400-hp Mercury Marine outboard engines, the 32NX is the smallest offering in the NX line, which includes 42- and 39-foot models.

“It’s an all-brand-new hull, not based off anything else, and the first one ran 68 mph with twin 400s,” said Jeremy Anderson, the general manager of Big Thunder Marine, a full-service Fountain, Donzi and Baja dealership at the Lake of the Ozarks in Osage Beach, Mo. “It will be available in multiple configurations. You can ‘fish it up,’ if you like, or go the all the way to a poker-run-style, SC (Sport Console) version. You can do as much or as little paint as you like.

“You can order the 32NX with a dive door, a SureShade (retractable rear-cockpit Bimini top) and even a SeaKeeper (gyroscopic stabilization) system,” he added. “It’s a really cool, really versatile boat.”

The Fountain 32NX will be offered in multiple configurations.
