With many of its current customers and several soon-to-be customers headed to southwest Florida for the upcoming Florida Powerboat Club Key West Poker Run (Nov. 6-11), Marine Concepts is planning to have a big presence at the 27th annual event, which coincides with the Key West Offshore World Championships being organized by Race World Offshore for the first time this year.

According to Marine Concepts sales manager Brendan West, the Kaiser, Mo.-based company behind the exceptional travel covers is going to have a booth at the Key West Poker Run Village for the first time and prior to that the team is going to be in Miami for a couple of days before the poker run starts to digitize boats for covers while on their trailers.

“Our travel covers are state of the art,” West said. “All of the boats are digitized and the covers are custom made specifically for each boat. Our waterproof material has been specially designed with a felt-lined backing to protect the boat from road rash and any elements that may be encountered while traveling.”

West said Marine Concepts already has several boats lined up to get digitized before the poker run, but that the company is available to do more boats for those interested in a new custom cover. He said to call 877-601-2628 to make an appointment and order your cover today.

Not only can Marine Concepts handle travel covers for a variety of boats like the offshore cat and center console in the slideshow above, the company also does cockpit covers, open-air covers for boats on lifts, track system covers and more.

Randy Kent, who owns Marine Concepts and Midwest Boating Center, which is also based in Central Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks, said he’s going to have a new cat displayed on a tilt trailer in Poker Run Village.

“We designed our own custom tilt trailer and a very rare cat that will debut in Key West,” said Kent, who didn’t want to divulge the details just yet. “It’s the first of its kind, and we can’t wait to show it off.”
