Nor-Tech Ready To Rock Lake of the Ozarks

Thanks to the dedicated team at Midwest Boating Center in Kaiser, Mo., and the extra effort put forth by the crew at the Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats facility in Cape Coral, Fla., the Nor-Tech presence at this week’s Lake of the Ozarks Shootout in Central Missouri is going to be remarkable.

“We’re going to have some unbelievable boats at the Shootout on the Strip on Wednesday evening,” said Randy Kent of Midwest Boating Center. “Ron Meyering’s incredible 477 is going to be on display with his custom one-off Volvo truck, which is absolutely bad ass. We’re also going to have Shelby Smith’s new 450, which is towed by an F550 four-door conversion handled by the Diesel Brothers, on hand as well as a 2020 390 with triple Mercury Racing 450R engines and a 340 with triple Mercury 350 engines.

Kent and his team are also planning a Nor-Tech owners’ appreciation party for Friday, which includes an informal fun run followed by a formal steak and seafood dinner with a bunch of cool prizes from Bluave Marine AudioMarine ConceptsMotoped, Paradise Pad and more to be awarded during the dinner. Kent said he’s expecting more than 130 people to attend the party, which is sponsored by Wozencraft Insurance.

Kent also said his custom cover company, Marine Concepts, is going to have a display at Camden on the Lake during Super Cat Fest and that it is donating two classic cars for the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout auction on Saturday night, which takes place at Camden on the Lake as well.

“I’m looking forward to a fun time at Lake of the Ozarks this year—it’s always a great place to see friends and clients and hopefully meet some new ones,” said Trond Schou, one of the owners of Nor-Tech. “For me it’s kind of like a little vacation. I’m not really into the whole ‘shootout’ thing, as our boats are not just about going fast, they’re about having fun on the water. I’m into hanging out with customers and enjoying the party atmosphere.”
