New Video: In The Lead With Waves And Wheels Justin Wagner Now Live

In typical Justin Wagner fashion, the owner and founder of the deeply rooted Lake of the Ozarks company—Waves and Wheels in Osage Beach, Mo.—comes off as a fairly average guy in the final episode of the new-for-2021 Speed On The Water “In The Lead” video series presented by Mercury Racing, MYCO Trailers and Hamilton Marine Finance that went live today (watch it here or click the image below). Yet, as anyone who has met Wagner or done business with him can attest, the 41-year-old is anything but average.

Speaking from the perspective of why Wagner was selected for In The Lead, we can point to the various boats he’s owned—from his personal favorite, the Ironman-themed Hustler Powerboats 377 Talon, to his early-2000s-era all-white American Offshore catamaran that was loaded to the gunwales with speakers to his next project, a former world champion 46-foot Skater Powerboats catamaran that he’s turning into an original creation, Noizy Boy—as to why he’s far from average.

There’s also his beautiful family, his immense network of friends, his gorgeous house, his impressive classic car collection and his generosity within the community. Add in his business acumen—he started Bluave Marine Audio more than five years ago, is co-owner of Graphix 1 Paint and has developed The Boardwalk at Waves and Wheels at mile marker 26 into a fixture on the popular waterway in the matter of a few years—and it’s easy to see why he stands out in the powerboat industry.

But the main ingredient to Wagner being far from average? His work ethic. As a teenager, the aspiring car audiophile with numerous awards to his credit decided to bet on himself and combine his skillset with his passion for powerboats—setting his sights on starting a business near a lake in the middle of Missouri.

As you’ll find out in the latest episode of In The Lead, Wagner’s gamble paid off as Waves and Wheels has an outstanding reputation for providing high-end customization for marine and auto customers alike. From his humble beginnings, he’s taken pride in his detailed workmanship and next-level customer service, and he’s done his best to instill the same in his talented team members, a few of which are featured in the episode.
