Nor-Tech Celebrates 390 Sport No. 200 During Fort Lauderdale Show

While reviews of the 2018 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show from high-performance powerboat exhibitors are just starting to come in—they’re mostly positive so far but the annual South Florida event just ended yesterday—at least one builder left the show energized. That’s because Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats of North Fort Myers, Fla., created a happening of its own last Thursday night with a celebration of Sport 390 Center Console No. 200, an inventory boat for its Texas-based Legend Marine Group dealer, which was displayed at the company docks in the Bahia Mar marina.

Nor-Tech celebrated the completion of its 200th Sport 390 Center Console in style during the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show last week.

In addition to Nor-Tech customers and dealers such as Legend Marine’s Greg Connell, company principals Trond Schou and Nils were on hand to discuss the past, present and future of the high-performance center console, catamaran and V-bottom manufacturer. Stuart Halley, the general manager of Mercury Racing in Fond du Lac, Wis., also was there to share in the celebration of 390 Sport CC—a model introduced in 2009—hull No. 200 and the high-performance marine engine builder’s longstanding partnership with the Nor-Tech brand.

The event was sponsored by Nor-Tech product suppliers Mercury Racing, JL Audio, Lumishore and Sureshade.

Nor-Tech’s Trond Schou, Nils Johnson and Geoff Tomlinson, Mercury Racing general manager Stuart Halley and Legend Marine Group’s Greg Connell celebrated the Nor-Tech brand with more than 100 guests.
