Boyne Thunder Poker Run Opens Sponsor Registration

Sponsor registration for the 19th annual Boyne Thunder Poker Run based in Boyne City, Mich., opened today at 9 a.m. Unless they sell out earlier, in-water sponsorships, which include a slip at the Boyne City Marina docks, will be open until mid-February. Land-based sponsor options typically remain open until a few weeks before the event, which is scheduled this year for July 7-9.

Sponsorships are integral to the success of the event, which supports several local charities including Camp Quality and Challenge Mountain.

“We are fortunate to have had so many successful Boyne Thunder events and we will never take that for granted,” said Ingrid Day, Boyne Thunder’s events coordinator. “While everyone who attends plays a role in making this charity-based poker run a ‘don’t miss’ weekend event, our sponsors provide the backbone for it.”

In-water Boyne Thunder Poker Run sponsorships range from Double-Platinum level at $20,000 to Silver level at $3,500.

“We are always excited to welcome back those that have sponsored in the past and look forward to hosting new sponsors and getting to know them, their crew and, of course, their boats,” said Day.

General participant registration for the event, which is limited to 120 entries, opens March 1.

The Boyne Thunder Poker Run sells out every year.
