Countdown To Miami: Donzi and Fountain Showcasing Center Consoles, Catamarans And More

Following up on last year’s impressive new model showcase at the Miami International Boat ShowIconic Marine Group is bringing a bevy of Fountain and Donzi beauties from 32 to 43 feet to the 2019 event (Feb. 14-18) on Virginia Key. And they’ll all be on display at the docks at the Washington, N.C., powerboat company’s in-water display at Pier 5.

“All of our brands and models are enjoying success at retail and our dealer network is continually growing,” said Joe Curran, Iconic’s chief operating officer, in a press release from the company.

Fountain Powerboats will introduce its new 43NX luxury performance center console, the largest center console model ever offered by Fountain. The sleek 43-footer boasts infused-resin construction and is powered by quad Mercury Racing Verado 400R outboard engines. Features include a full berth and a private head locker inside the console.

To complement the 43NX, the 39NX—introduced at Miami a year ago—also will be on display. The newly restyled Fountain 38 Sportfish Cruiser is making its debut in Miami this year as well. In addition to those new models, Fountain will display its popular 34- and 38-foot center consoles.

Fountain models on display will include the 43NX center console and its 39-foot sibling, as well as the 32 Thunder Cat.

On Fountain’s high-performance side, the company will again showcase its 32 Thunder Cat equipped with Mercury Racing Verado 400R outboards and a 42 Lightning sportboat powered by Mercury Racing’s dual-calibration 1550/1350 engines.

While Donzi introduced its twin Mercury Racing Verado 400R-powered 41 GT model last summer at the Lake of the Ozarks in Central Missouri, Iconic is bringing a triple Verado 400R-powered 41-footer to Miami. The 41 GT features an open concept cockpit with versatile and generous seating and a day cabin with a head and wraparound seating.

But the “star of the show,” according to the release, will be the all-new Donzi Icon 44 catmaran equipped with four Verado 400R outboards. The 44-foot, six-seat cat boasts 100-percent carbon fiber and epoxy resin construction.

The first finished Donzi Icon 44 catamaran should be the highlight of this year’s Iconic Marine Group display in Miami.

Said Curran, “This boat blends Donzi attitude with an elegance that will appeal to a select clientele that demand the finer things in life and have earned it.”

“I couldn’t be more excited about coming to Miami with this amount of amazing new product,” said Fred Ross, the owner of Iconic Marine Group. “The new models respect their brand heritages while providing the very latest in technology and advancements.”
