M41 Catamaran Trio Leads Stellar DCB Super Cat Fest Lineup

In yet another display of immaculate West Coast hardware coming to the Midwest, DCB Performance Boats will have an outstanding fleet at this year’s Super Cat Fest (Aug. 24-26), which runs concurrently with the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout. Visitors to the docks at the Camden on the Lake Resort, the host venue for Super Cat Fest, will get to ogle stunning custom catamaran creations from the El Cajon, Calif., builder then watch many of them compete in the Shootout on Saturday and Sunday.

“Thanks to our incredible customers, we’ll have great representation at Super Cat Fest and the Shootout again this year,” said Jeff Johnston of DCB Performance Boats, which is reprising its ongoing role as a sponsor for the annual event.

Coming to Super Cat Fest in late August—coveted catamaran creations from DCB Performance Boats.

DCB owners Mark Schouten, Jimmy Byrd and Mike Demore are bringing their M41 catamarans. All of the 41-footers are powered by Mercury Racing 1350 engines.

Fresh off an impressive 163-mph performance at the GLOC Performance Boat Challenge Shootout in Oklahoma, Carlton Bass will showcase his M35 catamaran at the event. According to Johnston, Bass also plans to run his 35-footer, which is also outfitted with Mercury Racing 1350 engines, in the Shootout.

Bass’ catamaran is one of four M35s coming to the event. Shawn and Stacy Gibson are bringing their Mercury Racing 1550/1350-powered model, which in the capable hands of DCB’s Tony Chiaramonte ran 170-mph in the GLOC event. Brett Spraggins is showing up with his Mercury Racing 1100-equipped 35-footer and Shawn Moe will be there with his Mercury Racing 1075 SCi-powered beauty.

Fresh off its 170-mph showing at the GLOC Performance Boat Challenge, Shawn and Stacy Gibson’s M35 catamaran (show here at the 2016 Lake of the Ozarks Shootout) will be part of the DCB collection at Super Cat Fest.

Representing the smaller side, though not the smallest thanks to the relatively new M28R catamaran and its sistership M29, of DCB’s M-Series Widebody cat lineup, Bo Gregory is bringing his M31 with Mercury Racing 700SCi engines.
